BJ and His Cereal

We have been trying to take the time to document some "every day" type of things that might be fun  to look back on when we are home from Chile.  This is BJ's favorite cereal here.  To be honest, we buy it because it is the only cereal that ever goes on sale below $3.  Food here, besides the fresh fruits and vegetables, is priced about double of what we are used to paying back in the states.  This is mostly because of the poor exchange rate.  Back to the cereal....every morning BJ enjoys his MonoChoc.  I guess you could say it is like chocolate corn flakes.  Mono means monkey (that is in fact a blue monkey on the box) and choc of course means chocolate.  I know, I know, it is not the most healthy breakfast, but for those of you who know BJ we have to take what we can get when it comes to what he will eat.  He enjoys it with skim milk that comes in a box that does not have to be refrigerated.  We do miss fresh milk, that is for sure.

But, hey, when you have "Super Crujientes"...crunchy cereal, boxed milk is alright.

So, the next time you pour yourself a bowl of your favorite cereal, appreciate you fresh milk and think of BJ and the blue monkey cereal he loves in Chile.

I am glad BJ found a cereal he enjoys! Poor kid.... But it looks pretty good. Sounds kind of like the cereal from Toy Story- Sugar coated and dipped in chocolate! Yum!
