We visited the town of Coquimbo which is the city opposite on the bay where we live in La Serena. Coquimbo is famous for the stories of the pirates that attacked the region during the XVIth and XVIIth centuries. This fort was rebuilt but is a replica of the one used to scout the seas for pirates.
