Recently Dave went on a trip for work and while he was traveling, he stopped by an empanada restaurant he had been hearing about in Huentelauquen. This place sells only empanadas and cheese. You can buy your empanadas fried and ready to eat, or you can bring them home raw and cook them yourself. Dave brought some home for us.
Each empanada has a 1/2 inch thick chunk of cheese called queso mantecoso in it.
They were delicious! There was so much cheese inside that we just could not contain it.
What a yummy treat!
