While Dave, Terrie, Stephanie and I went out one evening to do some shopping downtown, Grandpa and the kids were responsible for making their own dinner. They decided to stick to items that all of the kids liked.
The meal started out with boxed Kraft macaroni and cheese that Grandma and Grandpa brought with them on the plane as a special gift for the kids. From that they added carrot slices (a favorate of BJ), mandarins (a favorite of Evan), and peach nectar (a favorite juice of everybody.
The end result was a meal that the kids were absolutely thrilled to eat. To this day it is referred to as their "orange dinner" with grandpa. Perhaps the most impresive thing is that they managed to stick to their color theme while still having all major food groups.
