After seeing all the wildlife on the Island of Los Chorros, we were able to dock at Isla Dama. This island gets its name from the rock in the center that looks like a woman's head or a full woman depending on how you look at it.
From this picture that is found online the face is easier to see than the whole body. The chin is at the base of the hill at the left. You can see the nose jutting out a little higher followed by the brow even higher. The picture below shows the three islands from an arial view.
We were greeted at shore by some curious birds that wanted to share our lunch with us.
Dave took this photo. We still find it interesting to see cacti and the ocean together in the same scene.
Isla Dama was still in bloom. These delicate purple flowers seem like such a contrast to the spiny cacti that they grow next to.
This island doen't have the penguins, sea lions, and other wildlife like Los Chorros. For this reason, visitors are allowed to hike on the island. When we landed, the sun had just come out making for a warm and sunny hike.

Isn't this a pretty place? Behind Terrie and Emily you can see the island that we had just visited with all the penguins.
Andrew likes to take the time to read the signs along the trail. These signs are in Spanish, but that doesn't slow Andrew down.
This vulture was sunning his wings, but I would like to think that he was posing for our picture.
The water is so clear and turquiose, you might think we were somewhere tropical.

We were fortunate to be the first boat out that day. We had the island to ourselves for a while.
I couldn't resist getting in the water a bit. It was cold, but so refreshing.
While the kids were playing in the sand, Dave and I walked to the other side of the beach together.
After a couple of hours on the island, it was time for us to head back to the mainland. This adventure far exceeded our expectations and turned out to be a fabulous day!
