While David was a work, Bill, Terrie, the kids and I spent the afternoon at the beach. I apologize if you are reading this blog in freezing weather. We've already had our cold months in July, August, and September. It has been nice to enjoy some sunshine and warmer weather. It never gets really hot here though. We are on the coast and temperatures usually don't get above 85.
These are the shells we used to decorate our Christmas tree. David says that when he was here last November that the beaches were just overflowing with them, a lot more than this year.
It is nice to see Emily and Andrew spending time together. And, yes, Andrew is taller than Emily. When we got here they were about the same height. Now he had got her by about 2cm. He is almost ready to pass me up!
This is La Serena's famous lighthouse. It is just decorative. The real lighthouse for the area is around the bay in Coquimbo.
It is always a surprising adventure to have little boys. On a walk with Grandpa, Evan collected a handful of dead crabs. He said he found seven of them.
To finish off our time at the beach, Grandpa decided to bury the boys. They loved it.
The best part was getting to act like a scary sand monster emerging from the sand.
