Fish Market in Valdivia

Here we are at the fish market in Valdivia.  I have always wondered what is that orange liquid they are selling in those recycled bottles.
Some delictables available at the market...sea snails...
Lots of different kinds of shell fish...
rose hips, chestnuts, and murta berries...

jaiba or crab....
razor clams....(these guys are still alive and will contract back in their shell if you touch them)

salmon eggs....
more crab......
sea urchins....
lots more murta berries....

the local catch of the day.
Here is where the fish are cleaned.  These guys really know what they are doing.  They work so fast!  In just a few minutes time, we saw them clean dozens of fish.

Andrew enjoyed this perpetual motion display just off the fish market.
Valdivia...well at least we got 3 out of 4 smiles, right?
