Langkawi, Malaysia

Langkawi, Malayia September 2017

We arrived in Langkawi after about a 30 hour travel adventure with big layovers in Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur.  Even though we were tired we couldn't resist a visit to the ocean just steps from our villa.

One of our favorite past times while in Malaysia was collecting shells.  We had never seen so many shells on a beach before.  We brought home a few.

The ocean was warm but refreshing (weather was low 90's with 90% humidity) and with it being off season sometimes we felt like we had the beach to ourselves.

Had to have a little fun with the sunset.
As part of Dave's conference we were able to take a tour of the mangroves surrounding the island.  IT was amazingly beautiful.

We ate a delicious seafood lunch on a floating restaraunt.

We were able to have super cool monkey encounters,

And Dave was able to do some limited butterfly collecting.  Not to much flying around in September,
We went on a hike to this fun natural waterslide.

Cool, refreshing water!

Dave taking it head first.
