Austria

We had the amazing opportunity this October to travel to Austria for a business trip for Dave.  We invited my parents to come along with us.  My dad served his mission in Austria and retained his German speaking skills.  It was so fun to hear him talk to people and order food for us.  This trip was only possible because of 4 super families at home that watched the kids for us while we were away.  Thanks again for making this amazing trip possible for us.  We will be forever grateful!

The Abby in Melk.  My dad recommended this place for us.  We took a beautiful train ride through the countryside to get here.  The abby was amazing up on the hill.

This was my favorite place.  It is Hallstatt, a small town on a lake that boasts it's salt mines date back to prehistoric times.  It was such a charming little town.  The sun came out for us to enjoy it even more.

A palace in Vienna.

This is the parliament building in Vienna.  Almost all the buildings had these amazing and enormous statues with them.

When my dad was a missionary the town would let them set up there street meetings right here inside the gates of the Shonbrun Palace.

This was my favorite meal.  I ate gulash while overlooking Salzburg after visiting the fortress.

We took a tram up the mountain in Innsbruck to see the Alps.  Love being on top of the world.

First night in Vienna, we listened to a quartet playing Mozart in the same room that Mozart played in when he was alive.
